Abstract English

This paper is a study of original unique Arabic documents preserved in the National Archives of Egypt. This paper tackles the documents of the scholars`Formal Dress during the period (1888-1901). These documents have not been studied or published before in diplomatics.

In this study, the researcher applies the historical documentary methodology by analyzing and criticizing these documents to induct and deduct new facts. The archival analysis provids a detailed demonstration of its objective contents, in addition to a concise descriptive archival card for each document according to ISAD. The diplomatic analysis provids an illustrative table of the characteristics of Riqa' handwriting used in the documents. The study also points out the most important linguistic and stylistic features of the documents. Moreover, the study uncovers the informational value of the documents. The researcher published, transcribed, and copyedited the documents according to the standard rules of publishing Arabic documents, in addition to providing a clear definition and authentication of its most important terms.

الملخص العربي

يتناول هذا البحث دراسة لوثائق عربية أصلية مفردة محفوظة بدار الوثائق القومية بالقاهرة، إلى دراسة وثائق "كساوى العلماء" أرشيفيًا ودبلوماتيًا، ورصد ما تحتويه وثائق البحث من معلومات متنوعة خلال تلك الفترة.

اعتمد هذا البحث على منهج البحث التاريخي الوثائقي، الذي يتضمن تحليل ونقد الوثائق لاستخلاص حقائق جديدة، والمنهج الوصفي في وصف الوثائق وتعيين حالتها المادية. وخرج البحث بنتائج مهمة؛ حيث أسفرت الدراسة الأرشيفية عن إعداد جدول تفصيلي بالمحتوى الموضوعي لوثائق البحث، وتطبيق المعيار الدولي للوصف الأرشيفي (ISAD) على وثائق البحث بعمل بطاقات وصف موجزة؛ وأسفرت الدراسة الدبلوماتية للوثائق عن: توضيح لأهم الخصائص الإخراجية لوثائق البحث وإعداد جدول توضيحي لنماذج تبين سمات خط الرقعة المستخدم في وثائق البحث؛ وتوضيح أهم الخصائص اللغوية والأسلوبية في وثائق البحث؛ واستخلاص القيمة المعلوماتية لوثائق البحث؛ ونشر نصوص الوثائق وفقًا لقواعد نشر الوثائق العربية، وتحقيق أهم المصطلحات الواردة فيها.
