Abstract English

The music is a fundamental element in the play. The relationship established between music and theater is a mutual relationship. Each of the two arts can be evoked by the other. So the play reflects on the music and vice versa.This research studies the interrelationship between theater and music, with a focus on music as an essential element and a major component in plays. The musical language has great contributions in any theatrical work. Music in the theater is not just a mixture of sounds, but there is always a dramatic meaning of the music, it plays an important role in enabling the audience to got the message around which the play revolves. So, the investigation intends to study the different types of music in the plays, such as music on the air, internal music, and ambient music. The study also investigates with the different sources of the musical element on stage, whether visible, invisible or recorded.

الملخص العربي

يدرس هذا البحث العلاقة المتبادلة بين المسرح والموسيقى في الفن المسرحي، مع الترکيز علي الموسيقى کعنصر أساسي ومکون رئيسي في الأعمال المسرحية. تکمُن قيمة الموسيقى في المسرح في إبراز وتطوير المعنى واستحضار أزمنة بعيدة أو بيئات ومواقف مختلفة. کما تتزامن أحيانا مع دخول وخروج الشخصيات علي خشبة المسرح. ولذا يجب دراسة وتحليل أهمية العنصر الموسيقي في المسرح.ومن الجدير بالذکر أن للغة الموسيقية إسهامات کبيرة في أي عمل مسرحي. فالموسيقي في المسرح ليست مجرد مزيج من الأصوات، ولکن هناک دائما معني درامياً للموسيقى حيث إنها تلعب دورا هاما في تمکين الجمهور من استيعاب الرسالة التي يدور حولها العمل المسرحي ويود المؤلف توصيلها للمشاهد. الموسيقى من أجل المسرح هو الموضوع الذي تقوم عليه هذه الدراسة. لهذا تعتزم الدراسة إبراز الأنماط المختلفة للموسيقى في العمل المسرحي کالموسيقى الخلفية أو کما يطلق عليها "موسيقى على الهواءMusic on the air "، والموسيقى الداخليةInternal Music ، والموسيقى المحيطAmbient Music . کما تتناول الدراسة المصادر المتنوعة للعناصر الموسيقية والصوتية على خشبة المسرح سواء مصادر مرئية أو غير مرئية أو مُسجلة.
