Abstract English

Noel Abdel-Ahad (1939-7) was one of the Jordanian writers, intellectuals and translators who worked on translating selections from the quartets of Omar Khayyam into Arabic; he was the third Jordanian in terms of historical arrangement after the great poet of Jordan: Mustafa Wahbi al-Tal, nicknamed "Arar" Al-Na'ouri, who were tainted with tents and a selection of his quartets; In 1958 he translated seventy-five quartets from English into Arabic, based on the famous translation of the famous English poet Edward Fitzgerald, and then printed it and presented it to Arab readers in the same year, so the researcher devoted this article to try to highlight the personality of Noel Abdel-Ahad and his effects , And his efforts in the translation of the quartets Omar Khayyam, which has been overlooked by scholars and researchers so far in the Persian language; in the hope that this article interested interested in studying and analyzing translations of quartets of tents in the Arab world.

الملخص العربي

يعدُّ نويل عبد الأحد( 1939- 2007م) أحد الأدباء والمثقفين والمترجمين الأردنيين الذين عملوا على ترجمة مختارات من رباعيات عمر الخيام إلى اللغة العربية؛ فقد كان الشخصية الأردنية الثالثة من حيث الترتيب التاريخي بعد شاعر الأردن الكبير: مصطفى وهبي التل الملقب بـ "عرار" وعيسى الناعوري اللذين اهتما بالخيام وترجما مختارات من رباعياته؛ إذْ عمد في عام 1958م إلى ترجمة خمس وسبعين رباعية من اللغة الانجليزية إلى العربية، اعتماداً على ترجمة الشاعر الانجليزي ادوارد فيتزجرالد المشهورة، ومن ثم طباعتها وتقديمها للقراء العرب في العام نفسه، ولذلك فقد خصص الباحث هذه المقالة لمحاولة تسليط الضوء على شخصية نويل عبد الأحد وآثاره، وجهوده في ترجمة رباعيات عمر الخيام، التي غفل عنها الدارسون والباحثون حتى الآن في اللغة الفارسية؛ على أمل أن تثير هذه المقالة همم المهتمين بدراسة وتحليل ترجمات رباعيات الخيام في العالم العربي.
