Learners of Arabic as a second language need grammar which helps them to acquire skills and knowledge to organize sentences to carry out communicative tasks in the various contexts of social situations. The aim of this paper is to shed light on the role of “sentence patterns” in Arabic language learning and teaching as a second language from the point of view of these functions. This study analyzes four series of Arabic language textbooks at the levels of Novice, Intermediate and Advanced in ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines, to describe “Sentence patterns of possession” by means of ‘inda, laam al-mulkiyya and ladaa with their functions and contexts to use. In conclusion, this paper suggests a model for learners to acquire “Sentence patterns of possession” and use them efficiently at each level.

يحتاج متعلمو اللغة العربية من الناطقين بغيرها إلى القواعد التي تساعدهم في اکتساب المهارات والمعرفة لصياغة الجمل من أجل أداء المهامّ التواصلية في السياقات المتنوعة في المواقف الاجتماعية. ويهدف هذا البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على دور "التراکيب" في تعليم اللغة العربية لغةً ثانيةً من ناحية وظائفها. وسيتم تحليل أربع سلاسل من کتب تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها ضمن المستويات: المبتدئ والمتوسط والمتقدم وفق معايير إرشادات الکفاءة التي وضعها المجلس الأمريکي لتعليم اللغات الأجنبية لوصف تراکيب الملکية المتکوّنة من العناصر اللغوية "عند، ولام الملکية، ولدى" وفق وظائفها وسياق استعمالها. وفي الخاتمة، تُقدّم خُطاطة مقترحة لإکساب "تراکيب الملکية" واستعمالها الفعّال في کل مستوى.
