Abstract English

This subject highlights the active role played by Razani Jews merchants in the first Abbasid era, in order to achieve huge profits, which contributed to the acceleration of the Islamic economy, especially in the commercial field at a time of tension and attraction between Muslims and the Romans, why this period in particular, because it represents the luxury, extravagance, and the openness of the Arab Islamic State with other ethnicities, this phenomenon emerged, which spent large amounts of money for pride and pleasure. The study relied on clarifying how to conduct castration process, which generates a huge profit for those merchants, and knowledge of the most important centers of castration, and the use of eunuchs in the palaces of the caliphs. The study also aims to monitor the movement of Razani merchants and to highlight the most important trade routes taken by the Razani Jews in their movements between East and West. These merchants started their trade trips from Europe - from the coasts of Provence and Italy - carrying with them the slaves, with the participation of intermediaries from the Arabs, Sicilians, and the Russians.

الملخص العربي

يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز الدور النشط الذي سلکه تجار اليهود الرازانية في العصر العباسي الأول، طلبًا لتحقيق الأرباح الطائلة، الأمر الذي ساهم في دفع عجلت الاقتصاد الإسلامي، خاصة في المجال التجاري في وقت شهد شدًّا وجذبًا بين المسلمين والروم، وخصصت هذه الفترة لأنها تمثل فترة البذخ والترف وفترة انفتاح الدولة العربية الإسلامية مع الأجناس الأخرى، وبرزت هذه الظاهرة التي انفقت عليها الأموال الطائلة طلبا للجاه والمتعة.واعتمدت الدراسة الرجوع إلى المصادر القريبة والمعاصرة، لتوضيح کيفية إجراء عملية الإخصاء، التي تدر على هؤلاء التجار الأرباح الکثيرة، ومعرفة أهم مراکز الإخصاء، واستخدامات الخصيان في قصور الخلفاء کذلک هدفت الدراسة إلى رصد حرکة تجار الرازانية وإبراز أهم الطرق التجارية التي سلکها هؤلاء في تنقلاتهم بين الشرق والغرب، إذ کان هؤلاء التجار يبدأون رحلاتهم التجارية من بلاد أوربا من سواحل "بروفنس" وسواحل إيطاليا حاملين معهم الرقيق، يشاطرهم في ذلک وسطاء من العرب والصقالبة والروس. وأشارت النتائج إلى أن منطقة شمال بلاد الروم تُعتبر المصدر الرئيسي للخصيان البيض، وتعتبر بلاد أفريقيا المصدر الرئيسي للخصيان السود، والتجار المسلمون نافسوا تجار اليهود الرازانية في تجارتهم هذه وحققوا الأرباح الطائلة من تجارة الخصيان.
