The Interdisplinary seeks to achieve four basic goals: the integration of knowledge, creativity in the way of thinking, achieving integration, and the production of knowledge. Those goals that have been determined clearly in the thought of "Gamal Hamdan", especially his work the personality of Egypt, has been enabled through "the personality of Egypt: a study in the genius of the place" to define the clear features of the Egyptian personality as a rare geographical dimensions that has its strategic depth, political location, and civilizational position which It carries between the Egyptian man's interactions with the environment throughout history through his adoption of an interconnected vision in order to achieve the above-mentioned four goals. The personality of Egypt has "not attributed to the so-called traditional geography, but rises to a comprehensive strategic urban vision that starts from the natural geographical reality to extend to include the various judges "humanity, economic, regional, political, social, and cultural ". Hence, this research seeks through the integrated cultural project" Jamal Hamdan "distinct from the Egyptian personality to monitor the features of the interdisplinary in his thought, and the problem of research is formed in an important main question: How did Gamal Hamdan employ the Interdisplinary in his study of the Egyptian regional personality?

يسعى المنهج البيني إلى تحقيق أربعة أهداف أساسية هي دمج المعرفة، والإبداع في طريق التفکير، وتحقيق التکامل، وإنتاج المعرفة. تلک الأهداف التي تبلورت بصورة جلية في فکر "جمال حمدان"، وخاصة مؤلف شخصية مصر، فقد استطاع من خلال "شخصية مصر: دراسة في عبقرية المکان" أن يحدد القسمات الواضحة في الشخصية المصرية بأنها فلتة جغرافية نادرة لها عمقها الاستراتيجي، وموقعها السياسي، وموضعها الحضاري الذي يحمل بين طياته تفاعلات الإنسان المصري مع البيئة عبْر التاريخ من خلال تبنيه للرؤية البينية محققًا للأهداف الأربعة سابقة الذکر، فشخصية مصر عنده "لا تنسب إلى ما يسمى بالجغرافيا التقليدية، وإنما ترتفع إلى رؤية عمرانية استراتيجية شاملة تبدأ من الواقع الجغرافي الطبيعي لتمتد فتشمل مختلف القضايا الإنسانية والاقتصادية والإقليمية والسياسية والاجتماعية والثقافية"، ومن هنا يسعي هذا البحث من خلال مشروع "جمال حمدان" الحضاري المتکامل المتميز عن الشخصية المصرية أن يرصد ملامح البينية في فکره، وتتبلور إشکالية البحث في تساؤل رئيسي مهم مؤداه: کيف وظف "جمال حمدان" المنهج البيني في دراسته للشخصية الإقليمية المصرية؟
