Abstract English

Date palm is considered as one main crops in Egypt whose painting matches the Egyptian environment ,planting this crop has been known in Egypt for ages as mentioned , lots of interested in this crop regarding it as a food of great value or a fruit of high nutrition value, Egypt's production of dates in 2017 amounted to about 1.5 million tons, of which 61% were distributed for domestic consumption, 21% for waste, 15% for manufacturing, and 3% for export of the total production. This research focused on the following topics: - 1- development of the palm planting in Egypt during the period from 1975 to 2017. 2- The geographical distribution of the area and number of the fruitful palms . it studies the principal production districts in Egypt and the geographical distribution of the date palm in the wholesome of the governorates of Egypt . 3 - it studies the principal production districts in Egypt and the geographical distribution of the production in the wholesome of the governorates of Egypt . 4- development of the value and quantity of Egyptian exports of dates during the period from 2001 to 2017. And studies external trade of dates of Egypt. 5- Studying the most important problems facing the production of dates in Egypt, as well as the most important problems facing Egypt's exports of dates, and introducing some suggestion and solutions for developing Egypt's production of dates Finally , some of the main results of the research:- 1-Some problems related to production one of them the primitive methods . 2- production bad varieties of date such us " Mghl" because it contributed 25,5% of the total Egyptian Dates production. 3- Egypt produces 698 thousand tons of soft dates (fresh), meaning that 45.1% of Egypt's total production of dates are wet and perishable dates. The thesis presents the coming suggestions and solutions 1-Establishing centers for collecting date in important date producing areas and building factories concerned with the date palm . 2- Expanding the cultivation of the varieties required in foreign markets, such as Al-Barhi and Mjdool 3- Establishment the green houses that provide the good offshoots suitable for every areas with suitable prices .

الملخص العربي

الملخص تعد مصر أولى الدول المنتجة للتمور على مستوى العالم إلا أنه ما زال تصدير التمور المصرية لا يتناسب مع حجم إنتاجها البالغ1,5مليون طن ، يشکل ما يقرب من ربع الإنتاج العالمي من التمور لعام 2017 ، بينما لم تتجاوز صادرات مصر من التمور نحو 29,4 ألف طن ، بنسبة 3,2 % فقط من جملة صادرات العالم من التمور ، اعتمد البحث على بيانات وزارة الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضي ، و الجهاز المرکزي للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء ، وزارة التجارة و الصناعة ، والمقابلات الشخصية لبعض المسئولين بکل من المعمل المرکزى للنخيل بمرکز البحوث الزراعية و التجارة الخارجية بوزارة التجارة الخارجية والصناعة . ويهدف البحث إلى دراسة تطور مساحة وإنتاج التمور، والتوزيع الجغرافي لمساحة لتمور و إنتاجها على مستوى المحافظات ، ألقاء الضوء على أهم المعوقات التى تواجه زراعة التمور فى مصر ، کما أهتم البحث بإبراز أوجه القصور التى تحول دون تطوير کمية وقيمة صادرات مصر من التمور ، و اقتراح الأساليب التى يمکن بإتباعها تنمية الصادرات المصرية من التمر.
