Abstract English

This research paper aims at testing the reliability of the (Google Translate) application in translating Arabic nominal sentences into English and vice versa, a correct translation that leads to the true, intended meaning. Such aim is achieved by extrapolating the different patterns of the Arabic sentence and their translations which are provided by the application, and by identifying and interpreting the flaws in the translation, in order to establish accurate mechanisms that can be adopted to perform similar translation operations, according to the rules governing the Arabic nominal sentence and its equivalent in English, focusing attention on the syntactic aspect.The research is based on two axes; the first is theoretical, dealing with illustrating the concept of the Arabic nominal sentence, with its elements represented by the subject and the predicate (theme and rheme), and the relation of predication. It also states their patterns, their generative components, the ranking of those components, and the freedom of movement among them. Moreover, it asserts the effectiveness of the concepts related to the term "nominal sentence" when performing linguistic computing operations that depend on “the machine” as a tool for linguistic achievement. As for the second, it is applicationlicable that extrapolates a large number of nominal sentences of different patterns, and their translations on Google, specifying the types of problems that have occurred in translation processes with examples copied directly from the site.

الملخص العربي

يهدف البحث إلى اختبار إمکانية الاعتماد على موقع ( ترجمة جوجل) لترجمة الجملة الاسمية العربية إلى الإنجليزية وبالعکس، ترجمة صحيحة مؤدية للمعاني؛ وذلک باستقراء الأنماط المختلفة للجملة العربية، والترجمات التي يقدمها الموقع لها، وحصر مواطن الخلل في الترجمة وتفسيرها، بغرض إنشاء آليات دقيقة يمکن اعتمادها لإجراء عمليات الترجمة المماثلة، وفق القواعد الناظمة للجملة الاسمية العربية وما يکافئها في الإنجليزية ، بترکيز الاهتمام على الجانب النحوي الترکيبي. يدرس البحث الجملة الاسمية المنفصلة عن السياقات الفقرية ( داخل الفقرة)، للترکيز عليها باعتبارها بنية مستقلة قابلة للتوسع في السياقات الکبرى ضمن مبدأي: التکرار الجملي، الذي يفصل بينه أدوات الربط على تنوعها الصرفي والترکيبي، وباعتماد علامات الترقيم أداة أساسية لتحقيق الترجمة الصحيحة.يقوم البحث على محورين؛ الأول نظري يتناول بيان مفهوم الجملة الاسمية العربية، بعناصرها المتمثلة بالمسند والمسند إليه، وعلاقة الإسناد. کما ينص على أنماطها، ومکوناتها التوليدية، ورتب تلک المکونات، وحرية الحرکة فيها. ومدى فعالية مفاهيم مصطلح" الجملة الاسمية " عند إجراء عمليات الحوسبة اللغوية التي تعتمد الآلة أداة للإنجاز اللغوي. وأما الثاني فتطبيقي يستقرئ عددا کبيرا من الجمل الاسمية المختلفة الأنماط، وترجماتها في موقع جوجل، محددا أنواع المشکلات التي وقعت فيها عمليات الترجمة بالأمثلة المنسوخة من الموقع مباشرة. ثم تعمد الباحثة إلى تحديد بعض الأسس الخاصة بترجمة الجملة الاسمية من العربية إلى الإنجليزية بما يتجاوز مشکلات تطبيق" ترجمة جوجل"، عن طريق آليات جاهزة صالحة لإحلال المفردات.الکلمات المفتاحية: الترجمة الآلية، تطبيق ترجمة جوجل، الجملة الاسمية.
