Abstract English

AbstractBritish Colonial Behavior in the Arabian Gulf and Levantine Regions through the Anglo-Jordan Treaty 1928 and the Anglo-Qatari Treaty 1916, A comparative study.The study dealt with a description and analysis of the British behavior, its causes and consequences in trans Jordan and the Emirate of Qatar during the period of the First World War and its aftermath, as an example of its general behavior and the extent of its difference or similarity in the regions of the Arabian Gulf and the Levantine, through the comparison between the two most famous treaties held between Britain and these two countries, by examining and analyzing the circumstances that led to the signature of these two treaties.The study required addressing the first period of the establishment of the two emirates in the light of their relations with Britain and its recognition of the establishment of two states in them and their rulers. This has been achieved by comparing the features and factors that shaped the nature of these relations that led to the signing of the two treaties in both countries.The study concluded the importance of geopolitical factors in shaping the British view towards the two Arab regions in the Arabian Gulf and Levantine regions, and the way it dealt with them, which were; the general factors related to the external circumstances of the two countries, and private circumstances related to the internal circumstances of them.Key words; Trans Jordan, Qatar Emirate, British Colonialism, Arabian Gulf, Levantine regions

الملخص العربي

المُلَخَّصُ باللغةِ العربيَّةِالسُّلوكُ البريطانيُّ الاستعماريُّ في منطقتيْ الخليجِ العربيِّ وبلادِ الشَّامِ منْ خلالِ المعاهدةِ الأُردنيَّةِ البريطانيَّةِ 1928م والمعاهدةِ القطريَّةِ البريطانيَّةِ 1916م دراسةٌ مقارنةتناولتِ الْدراسةُ وصفاً وتحليلاً للسُّلوكِ البريطانيِّ وأسبابِه ونتائجِه في شرقيِّ الأردنِّ وإمارةِ قطر خلالَ فترةِ الْحربِ العالميَّةِ الأولى وما تلاها، ليكونَ ذلك مثالاً على سلوكِها العامِّ ومدى اختلافِه أو تشابهِه في منطقتيْ الخليجِ العربيِّ وبلادِ الشَّامِ في الفترةِ ذاتِها، وذلكَ منْ خلالِ المقارنةِ بينَ أشهرِ معاهدتيْن وقَّعتْها بريطانيا معَ هذيْن البلديْن، وذلكَ بفحصِ وتحليلِ الظُّروفِ الَّتي أدَّت إلى توقيعِهما والبنودِ الَّتي احتوتْهما.وتطلَّبتْ مقتضياتُ الدراسةِ تناولَ الفترةِ الأولى منْ نشأةِ الإمارتيْن في ضوءِ علاقاتِهما معَ بريطانيا واعترافِها بإنشاءِ كيانيْن فيهما وبحكَّامِهما، وذلكَ بالمقارنةِ بينَ المظاهرِ والعواملِ التي صاغتْ طبيعةَ هذه العلاقاتِ التي أدَّتْ إلى توقيعِ المعاهدتيْن في كلا البلديْن.وخلصتِ الْدِّراسةُ إلى أهميَّةِ العواملِ الجيوسياسيَّةِ في تشكيلِ النَّظرةِ البريطانيَّةِ تجاهَ الإقليميْن العربيَّيْن في الخليجِ العربيِّ وبلادِ الشَّام وطريقةِ تعاملِها معَهما، والَّتي انقسمتْ إلى عواملَ عامَّةٍ تتعلَّقُ بظروفِ محيطِ البلديْن، وعواملَ خاصَّةٍ تتعلَّق بظروفِهما الداخليَّة.الكلماتُ المفتاحيَّةُ: شرقيُّ الأردن، إمارةُ قطر، الاستعمارُ البريطانيُّ، الخليجُ العربيُّ، بلادُ الشَّام.
