Abstract English

This study aimed to identify the extent to which the Algerian folk proverbs reflect on the social and family relations of the Algerian people. The study was conducted on the community of Algiers, which is in the northern central part of the country on the Mediterranean coast. Hundred fifty individuals were selected, ninety of them were males and sixty were females. They were selected randomly by using the “Google Form” questionnaire The social survey method was used in terms of listing and categorizing some popular proverbs according to what they cover of the social and the family relationships. The anthropological approach was used through the interview and the questionnaire method. The functional theory was adopted to analyze the meaning, objectives, and the reflection of the common popular proverbs in Algeria.The study concluded the importance of the Algerian folk proverbs as they are very important to preserve the social and moral values of the Algerian society. The Algerian folk proverbs are the product of what has been deposited in the social consciousness towards the contempt and inferiority of women, and the Algerian popular proverbs indicated that marriage remains a sacred matter as it means building a joint life between men and women who always trying to maintain the cohesion and healthy relations among families that leads to a good cohabitation.

الملخص العربي

هدفت الدراسة التعرف على مدى انعکاس الأمثال الشعبية الجزائرية على الوضع الاجتماعي للمرآة, والعلاقات الاجتماعية والأسرية لدى الشعب الجزائري, وأجريت الدراسة على مجتمع الجزائر العاصمة, والتي تقع في الجزء الشمالي الأوسط من الدولة على ساحل البحر الأبيض المتوسط, وتم اختيار 155 شخص بواقع 90 من الذکور, 60 من الإناث من مجتمع الدراسة, وذلک بالطريقة العشوائية من خلال وضع دليل العمل الميداني على الموقع الإلکتروني" Google Form" , وتم استخدام منهج المسح الاجتماعي: وقد تم استخدامه من حيث حصر وتصنيف بعض الأمثال الشعبية وفقا لما تتضمنه من علاقات اجتماعية وأسرية, واتبع المنهج الأنثروبولوجي من خلال المقابلة, ودليل المقابلة, وتم الاعتماد على النظرية الوظيفية في دراستها للأمثال الشعبية.وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن الأمثال الشعبية الجزائرية تحتل مکانة عالية في الجزائر, وتعمل على الحفاظ على القيم الاجتماعية والأخلاقية للمجتمع الجزائري, والأمثال الشعبية الجزائرية هي نتاج ما ترسب في الوعي الاجتماعي نحو احتقار ودونية المرأة, وأشارت الأمثال الشعبية الجزائرية على أن الزواج يظل أمرا مقدساً کونه يعني بناء حياة مشترکة بين الرجل والمرأة, يحاولان دائماً الحفاظ على ترابط وتماسک الأسرة والمعاشرة الحسنة, وأکدت الأمثال الشعبية الجزائرية على أن العلاقة الأخوية تظل من العلاقات المرتبطة بالأخوة والمحبة والتعاون والتماسک.
