Abstract English

The study attempts to reveal the Problems of Palestinian Refugees in the Jordanian Camps in martyr Azmi Al-Mufti Camp (Al- Hosn) and Jerash Camp in Jordan. Through four aspects of the crisis, derived from Habermas' theory, which is: Loss of meaning, psychological tension, anomie, and lack of gratification. it was applied onto a sample (523) male refugees, intentionally selected from the study population, based on the descriptive-analytical approach.The results showed that the Palestinian refugees "lack of gratification", in the study community was manifested to a high degree by the lack of money, adequate housing, health care, water shortage and infrastructure.The "psychological tension" among them appeared in a moderate degree, as regard to Lack of self-confidence, Feeling uncomfortable and enjoying the time, feeling of inferiority, frustration and isolation. It was also evident that they "loss of meaning" to a moderate degree, by following up events, future aspirations, motivation, and the value and enjoyment of living. Their "anomie" was manifested to a moderate degree in the disruption of standards of behavior, the change in people's natures, and in the increase of violence. Finally, it included the participation's towards their situation inside the camp in helping the others, hope in changing the circumstances, control of feelings and accepting the reality. The study recommends cooperation between the authorities and practitioners working with Palestinian in refugee camps in Jordan, to empower them with hope in the future, quality of life, psychological security, and respect for Rights, and material gratification.

الملخص العربي

تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مشكلات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في مخيم الشهيد عزمي المفتي (الحصن)، ومخيم جرش في الأردن، ضمن أربعة مظاهر لأزمة الشرعية، مشتقَّة من نظرية "هابرماس"، وهي: فقدان المعنى، والتوترات النفسية، واللامعيارية، ونقص الإشباع المادي؛ إذ طبِّقت على (523) لاجئًا من الذكور، وتمَّ سحبها بطريقة قصديّة من مجتمع الدراسة، مُرتكزة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وأظهرت النتائج أنّ "نقص الإشباع المادي" لِّلاجئين الفلسطينيين في المخيم تجلّى بدرجة مرتفعة، في نقص المال، والسكن الملائم، والرعاية الصحية، وشحِّ المياه، والبنيّة التحتيَّة. وظهرَت "التوترات النفسية" فيهم بدرجة متوسطة، بالافتقار إلى الثقة بالنفس، وعدم الشعور بالراحة والاستمتاع بالوقت، واضطراب الفكر، والشعور بالدونية، والاحباط، والعزلة. كذلك اتَّضح "فقدان المعني" لديهم بدرجة متوسطة، في متابعة الأحداث، والطموحات المستقبلية، والدافعية، وقيمة العيش ومتعته. وتجلَّت "اللامعيارية" لديهم بدرجة متوسطة في اختلال معايير التصرف، وتغيّر طبائع الناس، وتنامي العنف. وأخيرًا، تضمنت ردود فعل المشاركين تجاه وضعهم داخل المخيم في: مساعدة الآخرين، والأمل في تغيّر الأحوال، والسيطرة على المشاعر، وقبول الواقع. وتوصي الدراسة بالتعاون بين السلطات والممارسين العاملين مع الفلسطينيين في المخيمات الأردنية، لتمكينهم من الأمل في المستقبل، ونوعية الحياة، والأمن النفسي، واحترام الحقوق، والإشباع المادي.
