Abstract English

This research discusses the population growth modeling in the South Upper Egypt region, which includes the governorates Suhag, Qena, Luxor and Aswan. This research also aimed to create a composite index of the nature of population growth in South Upper Egypt region within period 1976: 2017. The goal is a determining the pattern and trends, which shaped population growth in this region, relying on quantitative and spatial dimensions, by using a time-space approach simultaneously. Through the process of creating a model, that expresses the nature of the growth trend with an explanation of these stages. These stages summarized a set of significant growth patterns and trends, which combined into three basic groups: 1) A group of units with strong positive change, appearing in a four-color group at the top of the model.2) A group of units with strong negative change, and appearing in a four-color group at the bottom of the model.3) A group of units with slight changes, whether positive or negative, and a quadruple color group appears in the center of the model.

الملخص العربي

يعرض هذا البحث إلى نمذجة التغيرات التى شهدتها معدلات النمو السكاني بإقليم جنوب الصعيد الذي يشمل محافظات سوهاج، قنا، الأقصر وأخيراً أسوان، وذلك من خلال إنشاء دليل مدمج لطبيعة النمو السكاني فى الإقليم خلال الفترة التعدادية (1976: 2017)، وذلك بهدف تحديد النمط والاتجاهات التى تشكل النمو السكاني فى هذا الإقليم من خلال الاعتماد على الأبعاد الكمية والمكانية ومن خلال مدخل زمكاني Time-Space Approach فى ذات الوقت، ومن خلال المرور بعملية بناء نموذج يعبر عن طبيعة مسار النمو مع شرح هذه المراحل التى تتطلبها عملية النمذجة، والتى أظهرت فى النهاية عدد من أنماط واتجاهات النمو المتباينة ذات الدلالة وتم دمجها فى ثلاث مجموعات أساسية: 1) مجموعة الوحدات ذات التغير الموجب الشديد، وتظهر فى مجموعة لونية رباعية فى أعلى النموذج، 2) مجموعة الوحدات ذات التغير السالب الشديد، وتظهر فى مجموعة لونية رباعية فى أدنى النموذج، 3) مجموعة الوحدات ذات التغيرات الطفيفة سواء الموجبة أو السالبة، وتظهر فة مجموعة لونية رباعية فى وسط النموذج.
